Caitie is an Informatics PhD student who is interested in how technology can be used to as a tool for empowerment. Her current area of focus is the Bitcoin currency. She is also interested in new forms of knowledge expression, the construction of online identities, values in design, and examining technology through the lens of feminist and queer theory.
Prior to coming to UCI, Caitie received a BS in Computer Engineering from the University of Washington.
